In the spring of 1976, I traveled to Guatemala for a weaving workshop. I was then co-owner of the Handweavers of Los Altos and interested in all kinds of fiber arts, so when the chance to travel and learn how to weave on a backstrap loom from a Guatemalan, I was packed & ready to go. I thought all my slides had been lost, but this last move I found these few, had them scanned and now am posting. They have brought back incredible memories of that trip. We stayed on Lake Atitlan in a hotel, held our weaving classes near the lake. The town of Panajachel was just over a hill, so many afternoons we'd walk to town. Hope you will enjoy the photos.
